The Spartans opened the the game up in the 1st inning with 6 runs en route to a 17 hit day. Leading the way for the 4-7-1 Spartans was: Nuts- 3-4 with 3 RBI; Smitty- 3-4 with 3 RBI; Witge- 3-4 with 3 RBI; Burt, of the famous "AlBurts" Lawn Service was 2-2 with 3 RBI; Skiddy- 3-5 with 2 RBI; and Petey used the yardstick to hit his second bomb in as many days going 1-3 with 2 RBI.

 

Witge picked up the win going 4 innings giving up 3 runs on 5 hits and striking out 5. Skiddy finished the Bison off in the 5th with 1 run on 1 hit.

 

Somebody once said, "when WSV has 13 guys that want to play, and play hard for 7 innings, they can beat anybody". They did this today and had fun doing so.

 

Spartans play Saturday in the ZRC Tourney at 9:00 a.m. If the lose they play at 11:00 a.m and if they win they play at 1:00 p.m.
